Thanks, Craig. I never owned CoolEditPro, although I did test it once. I had CoolEdit 2000 with the multitrack plugin. I upgraded to Audition back when Audition 1.0 came out. That was later upgraded to Audition 1.5. I installed 1.5 on my Windows 7 computer, but it had some quirks with that OS (like changing the system's color depth every time I ran the program, for some strange reason).. So I upgraded it to Audition 3 a few weeks ago. My opinion is that Adobe is gradually turning Audition into "Photoshop for your ears." Like Photoshop, Audition is very powerful, but it is getting more and more complicated in the process. Also, a lot of the presets for the effects are gone. Maybe you are supposed to be able to recreate them yourself, but I have found that the stock delay effects presets just don't sound as nice as those on CoolEdit 2000 and Audition 1.5. For that reason, I'm glad I opted for the Behringer mixer with built-in effects, although recoring with effects limits your options in "post production." The good news about Audition is that you can download a fully functional 30 day trial version to see if it is what you want and will work on your system.

My next step is to upgrade these $10 microphones and buy some studio monitor speakers. Mixing with cheap computer speakers is a sure-fire way to mess up the mix, which is why I'm having to go back and re-mix everything.

Sounds good, Joe. You said you're using Audition to mix? I'm still using CoolEditPro. Didn't want to pay the extra to go to Audition and take a chance of not getting anything for it. What's your opinion of it?

You should look into the insurance that ASU offers to see if it will be beneficial to pay for that instead of having your kids on your personal plan. It usually isn't all that expensive, but sometimes it costs that same as having them on your own. And kudos to your for finally catching up with the rest of the world with a smartphone. I'm so proud!

No, I don't even remember seeing that one. But maybe I wasn't interested in it because I owned it at home already. I do remember seeing Cootie. But I could never figure out that game...the instructions were long gone. And you guys making fake Monopoly money does not surprise me one bit. And mom wouldn't let me have playing cards either...but I had them anyway. Oh and I totally had a troll doll playset like you describe Becky owning! I still have it too. If you go through all my stuff in storage, it's like walking through an 80s toy store.

Yeah, but your Grandpa made us skip any of the game cards that had to do with stocks and bonds because that was gambling. Now, you don't have our old Monopoly game, do you? It is easy to spot - half of the money is "counterfeit". We lost a bunch of the bills (or spent it or something) and had to make homemade replacements.
